Rathfriland Motor Club

Rathfriland Motor Club was formed in 1990 with the aim of furthering interest in Motorsport in the South & East Down area. 

The Club’s main interest is rallying with one Navigation, one Targa and one Stage Rally being organised during the season. The Tour of the Mournes Navigation Rally in February kicks off the season, the popular RMC Targa Rally in August and the Down Rally, a round of both the Northern Ireland and the Irish Forestry Rally championships rounds out the year. 

In recent years, the Club concentrated on adding more social gatherings to the calendar of events with a successful family barbecue and Film night held during the season. During 2018 the Club will also organise another daytrip to the Ulster Aviation Society. 

The Club meets on the first Wednesday of each month in the Old George, Rathfriland and new members are always welcome.
