2008 Springfling Rally Report

David and Kyle Preston took their second career victory in Dungannon Motor Club's Springfling Rally.  Number 1 seeds Leslie and Gareth Hawe missed two controls in the second section, and after that there was no question over who was going to win.  The Preston's winning margin was 24 marks, with Gerard Green and Michael McElwee finishing runners up.

The hotly contested Novice Class was won by Raymond and Gareth Deazley by only 1 mark from Neil and Rebecca Fletcher, who have been the clear front runners in this class so far this year.  Arnie Lutton and Tom Young were the best of the Beginner Class.

There was a separate class for navigators fresh out of rally schools, and in this Lewis Boyd, who is more often seen challenging for overall wins as a navigator, won with his daughter, Hannah, calling the route.
