The Northern Ireland Land Rover Club is made up of a wide variety of members all with a common interest in Land Rovers and wish to use the vehicles for the purpose they were designed without damaging them or the environment.
Each month the club tries to organise at least 2 cross country motorsport events including, but not limited to, green lane and forest runs, skills assessment events (MSA regulated cross country trials, treasure hunts and Orienteering) and general fun days. Membership is open to all, with Cross Country being one of the few motorsport disciplines where a whole family can arrive in a road going 4X4 and all enjoy a day’s motor sport together. NILRC now welcomes all makes of 4x4 to take part in events.
The members of the Club are all motorsports enthusiasts and are happy to make their vehicles available to other Clubs where a 4 wheel drive vehicle may be required. As an offshoot of NILRC, but not connected to, there are ten MSA licensed rally recovery units available under the "Motorsports Recovery Northern Ireland" banner. Contact Ian Culbert to book units.
We also make vehicles available under the “4X4 Response NI” banner to assist The British Red Cross, Government, Councils and the Emergency Services in times of extreme weather and for disaster response. Vehicles regularly make themselves available for charitable purposes and other events. Contact Barry Dalzell for details of our 4X4 response service.
On the last Wednesday of each month we hold a social meeting in the Portside Inn starting at 8pm to discuss past and future events and all things Land Rover. This is a good time to meet other members and find out what we are all about.
