Ballynahinch and District Motor Club was formed in 1992, since then it has grown, both in the numbers of members and experience. Our aim is to provide competitors with top class events which are great value for money and put the fun back into motorsport. We now run four events during the year, one of which is the second round of the Northern Ireland Stage Rally Championship. The club has two MSA Licensed Rescue Units (Ballynahinch Motorsport Rescue Unit), which are available to hire throughout the year by contacting Michael Marner, 6 Lagangreen Road, Dromore, Co Down BT25 1EL,  Mobile 0780 312 7735. BADMC as a club supports various charities both financially and practically. Meetings are held on the last Monday of every month in the Millbrook Lodge Hotel, Ballynahinch at 8pm. All new members are encouraged and made most welcome and we organise a range of social events for members right the way through the year to share experiences and develop friendships. 

In 2018 BADMC are taking the innovative step of joining forces with Rathfriland Motor Club to organise and run the Down Rally. Using the combined expertise and experience of both clubs we are running this as a closed road tarmac event. The Rally is going to be a round of the Northern Ireland Rally Championship and the Protyre MSA Asphalt Rally Championship. Behind the scenes work has been taking place already and we are looking forward to scaling the Down Rally up into one of the premier tarmac events in Northern Ireland.
