TSCC
Thoroughbred Sports Car Club
http://www.tsccni.co.uk
Formed in 1982, the TSCC has a membership in the region of 180. We are custodians of the ‘Oldest Active Speed Hillclimb in the World’ – Cultra, which was first run in May 1905 and revived by us, for the second time, in 2010. Cultra 2018 will continue its series of Themed Events as the “Show Element” surrounding the speed hillclimb competition in the grounds of the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum.
The multi-discipline Club Championships will remain in their successful format of Club Autotests and Hillclimbs with additional Speed and Race Trophies contested over Hillclimbs, Sprints and Races from selected events in the ANICC Calendar.
Despite being named the Thoroughbred Sports Car Club our championship class structure accommodates ALL types of car, be they sports, saloon, kit or replica from vintage to modern and we welcome Junior Autotesters, of course. Single-seater racing car competing members also have their own Class Award to contest. We have a “Competitors Help Initiative” to encourage members to move up through Autotesting and on to MSA Licenced Speed events. We offer eligible members “A REBATE” towards the cost of their first MSA Licence, provided they obtain it and contest the nominated events.
The Social Committee organises the annual Tulip Run and BBQ as a Charity Fund-Raising event and will continue in partnership with Lisburn City Old Vehicles Club in hosting the “Cars and Coffee” meets on selected Sunday mornings throughout the summer. Watch our website and facebook pages for details of these enjoyable, informal gatherings of motoring enthusiasts.
Our AGM is in October followed by our annual Awards Dinner later in the winter break. Members get regular information on all the activities and more through bulletins, newsletters and club website.
