Following its JLT/Motorsport UK Club of the Year Award 2018, Enniskillen Motor Club Ltd. (EMC) will be building on that success to attempt to achieve even more in 2019 in its organisation and delivery of motor sport events in Co. Fermanagh. The Club will continue to promote events for the enjoyment of competitors, officials and spectators alike and do so in as professional and safe a manner as reasonably possible. The Club received widespread approval for its 2018 events, particularly evidenced by the high number of starters in 3 of them - the Erne Skip Hire & Recycling May Day Stages had 110 crews, the Trailer Parts & Spares Lakeland Stages had 97 and the Montgomery Motorsport Erne Trophy Sprint had a massive 94 starters - which was a resounding endorsement of the competitors' regard for the quality on offer. For 2019, EMC will organise Championship events at the Lakeland Stages, Erne Trophy Sprint, Keith Boyd Autotest and the Junior 1000 Class of the May Day Stages as well as the non-championship Erne Safari Navigation Rally and May Day Stages for Clubmen. The Club is actively seeking an alternative date for its 2019 Clubman Rally Time Trial. The Club remains committed to improving safety training for its members and any others wishing to attend and will continue to work closely with Motorsport UK and the Motor Marshalling Partnership (MMP) on matters of safety and marshalling. As in previous years, EMC will continue to assist other clubs in running their events. EMC will continue to raise money for charitable purposes and its Nominated Charity for 2019 is Air Ambulance NI. Annual Membership of the Club is £10 and all are welcome to apply. The Committee meets on the last Wednesday of every month unless special circumstances dictate otherwise.
